Fins & Feathers has been around for almost a decade and the young owners previously had F&B experience in Hong Kong before setting up the business in Singapore.
They had initially wanted to set up a restaurant but had difficulties finding a good location to do so. Therefore, they decided to open a modern hawker stall instead at the hip Pasir Ris Central Hawker Centre instead.
The name Fins & Feathers was inspired by their stall's specialty dishes, which are fish and chicken. They also take huge pride in their British-style fish and chips, which is served at a more affordable price point as compared to what you can get in restaurants.
Their signature dishes are Fish & Chips and Roasted Chicken Leg. For the Fish & Chips, diners can choose from 4 types of fish — Dory Fish, Halibut, Haddock and sole.

When here, it is a must to try their fish and chips! For my fish, out of the four options, I selected the haddock.
This was well-cooked and moist. The batter coating the fish was also a beautiful golden brown and very crispy. Fries were on point too and you can dunk those and the fish into the provided tartar sauce. There's also a refreshing coleslaw salad on the side to cut through the greasiness!
My only gripe is that the portion size could be a tad bit bigger, but otherwise, I was really pleased with my meal! Am already looking forward to my next trip back to try their other offerings!
