The dark brown soup is a characteristic of Malay meat-bone tea which uses Chinese herbs. Since its founding in 1893, its relatives have been cooperating with each other to open the shop, with it being always crowded with local customers.

A simple yet the most tastiest bak kut teh I've tried to date - this humble shop served up fall-off-the-bone, tender pork ribs. The dark broth which was in a claypot was bubbling hot and aromatic, with peppers and garlic cloves.
