Yong Seng Claypot Bak Kut Teh is a family-run business that has been around since 1989 and they are experts when it comes to whipping up a meal bowl of Teochew-style bak kut teh, which is on the peppery side.
They are located in a quiet corner of Taman Jurong Market & Food Centre so they tend to be easily missed if you're not looking hard enough.
Their entire menu uses different parts of the pig such as the trotters, intestines, kidney, liver, ribs and even the tail! So if you love pork, you have got to try their food!
I love bak kut teh and was glad to find this hidden gem! When I visited on a weekend for dinner, the stall was quite quiet so I got my food served to me fast.
I got the bak kut teh ribs soup, rice and you tiao.
The peppery soup was very flavourful and soothing and paired well with the pork ribs, which I am glad to say came tender with a good fat to meat ratio.
I also enjoyed dunking the you tiao in the soup!
My only regret is not getting the braised pig's trotter to try because the bak kut teh here is so nice. But this means another trip back here next time!
