If you ever felt like those fluffy and jiggly soufflé pancakes in restaurants and cafes were out of your budget, then this stall, Sweet T-Rex may be the affordable alternative. Each plate comes with 2 fulffy pancakes at $4, with a $1 top-up of ice cream. Apart from its popular pancakes, Sweet T-Rex also sells flavoured puddings like Matcha, Chocolate, Thai Milk Tea, etc, and cakes.
You’ll be able to spot their bright yellow push cart-style shopfront in the food centre. It is hard to miss as it doe stand out from the others.
The cheesecakes and puddings are all homemade and soufflé pancakes are made-to-order. Do be reminded that for all pancakes, you’d have to wait at least 10-15 minutes for it to be done, and longer if there are more customers before you. For the puddings and cakes, it is recommended to eat them while its cool and fresh as these cheesecakes will start melting after a while.

It was a pity I didn’t get to order the soufflé pancakes as I overestimated the preparation time and had to leave soon after. I ordered the Chocolate Pudding and the popular Basque Burnt Cheesecake.
I chose the chocolate flavour instead of other fancy ones as I wanted something not too sweet. The pudding was smooth and creamy, but perhaps nothing out of the ordinary in terms of taste. There is a strong chocolate flavour, but think of it as silky chocolate milk pudding. The cheesecake was smooth and dense and doesn’t crumble with each slice. It has almost a tofu-like consistency and is quite light on the palate as well.
Will be back for the soufflé pancakes.
