While the name Hougang is in their stall name, the shop is actually located at the bustling Old Airport Road Food Centre.

The family-run business has been around since 1940 and has been passed down by four generations.

Like their name says, they specialise in wanton noodles and apart from that, diners are also recommended to try their chicken feet noodles.

They have a Michelin recommendation and this isn't surprising considering the multiple awards and newspaper cuttings plastered all over their storefront. Some of the awards they've won include "Yummy King", where viewers voted it to be their favourite wanton mee in Singapore.

Wanton Soup

When here, it is a must to try their classic wanton noodles. The food was prepared fresh on the spot by the couple running the shop so I had to wait a little, but it was all good for some delicious wanton mee!

The noodles were extremely springy and al dente which is how it should be done. Also was really satisfied with all the generous amount of ingredients like steamed wanton, char siew slices, and leafy greens. Very satisfying and filling!
