Started in the year 1920, ran by 4 generations for over 90 years!
However, it was only in 1986 when the third generation owner kick-started the well-known Big Prawn Noodle here along East Coast Road.
From 2018, the fourth generation owner has taken over until today.
Choose from both soup and dry options. Based on what we've seen, though, everyone was ordering the soup type, so we know its soup is it's speciality!
You can choose between yellow mee (noodle) or bee hoon.
Even when I reached at 3pm, it was already bustling with customers! Judging from the 5 prawn chopstick rating on the menu, I had to go for the Jumbo Prawn Noodle. The distinct prawn essence in the soup... The soup was slightly clearer than most other prawn noodles I've tried. The yellow mee had a chewy texture to it. There were 5 Jumbo prawns in my noodles, all of which were fresh, plump and juicy! This classic noodle also ticks all the checkboxes with tau gay and shallots, undeniably delicious!
