Canton Paradise was established in 2011 by Paradise Group, one of the biggest Chinese brands in Singapore. The group was founded by brothers Eldwin Chua and Edlan Chua and has been in the Singapore F&B scene for decades.
Canton Paradise specialises in Hong-Style food offering Cantonese, Shunde cuisine and dim sum.
They have since expanded to have several outlets scattered across Singapore, including in Bedok Mall, Plaza Singapura, Marina Bay Sands and Nex.
Some popular menu items include their wanton soup and Irish fat duck.
When I visited on a weekday during dinner, I was surprised to find that the restaurant was still pretty crowded. Thankfully, I managed to get a seat pretty fast.
My husband is from Hong Kong so he is a good gauge to see if food from a Cantonese restaurant is authentic. And he approves of the food here at Canton Paradise!
We got the Crisp-fried Crystal Prawn Tossed with Salad Sauce, BBQ Combination (Crispy Roasted Irish Fat Duck and Charred BBQ Pork with Honey Sauce) and Trio Combination Congee.
The Roast meats are so good! Good well with excellent caramelisation. The porridge was also silky smooth and creamy with a generous amount of ingredients. The prawns were fat and succulent, pairing well with the sweet salad sauce.
