Tongue Tip Lazhou Beef Noodles is a popular chain eatery in Singapore that is known for its hearty beef soup noodles.
It opened their first store in Singapore back in 2018 at Tiong Bahru Plaza and have since expanded to have a few more stores across Singapore. The original brand in China has over 300 stores and won multiple awards.
The Lanzhou noodle style originated from the Lanzhou, Gansu province in China and was first created by the Muslim Chinese community, with the recipe passed down for generations since the Tang Dynasty. Such style of noodles is known for incorporating halal meat and clear beef broth flavoured with herbs and salt.
The outlets in Singapore are halal certified too!
I love Chinese noodles and Tongue Tip Lanzhou Beef Noodles has some of the best in town.
When I visited the store on a weekday afternoon, it was crowded but I managed to snag a seat. My dining companion and I ordered a bowl of soup and a bowl of dry noodles to see what the differences were. The soup broth was extremely light yet flavourful, while the dry one was tossed in a rich dark sauce. The beef here is excellent and has a strong umami taste.
I like how here, you can also choose the type of noodles you get - mine is the thick, flat noodles.
