Collagen drinks and protein bakes, anyone? This café is not your usual café fare of avocadoes, coffee drinks and baked waffles. Instead, this elevated café has an aim – to provide customers with nutrients through the food they serve. After all, this café was established by Dr Charles, founder of Folke’s Skincare. Thereafter, healthier alternatives infused with flowers, collagen, etc. Even their menu has a calorie count to people (gym bros, looking at you) who like to count the amount of calories.
However, there aren’t indoor seats for this café and so only outdoor seating if you are looking to sit and chat. So hot weather isn’t the best option to dine outside. However, aesthetics wise, it definitely very IG-worthy.
To find this café isn’t that direct and easy. You do have to navigate and turn into the building, before exiting the other end to find this café. It is near the entrance of the carpark. You’ll know it when you spot it.
I ordered the Cold Brew Lychee Coffee as well as the Protein Waffle (Chocolate) for a nice tea session.
While I knew what I was getting into when I ordered the flavoured coffee, I felt it actually tasted really unusual - not to say that it's bad, but rather different. The caffeine side of things (bitterness and aroma) still very much stays, but the lychee did threw me off with the sweetness and a slight different flowery taste that I did not expect.
For the waffles, the idea of having protein waffles meant that it was dense and hard, compared to the fluffy kind you would expect from other cafes. The chocolate is really strong with chocolate bits in it, but I would say there isn't much taste apart from the cocoa.
Unique flavours that tantalises the tastebuds, so go there with an open mind.
