GoPizza had humble beginnings in South Korea, where they were established in January 2016 and started out as a small food truck.
By 2017, they were so successful that they opened 30 pop-up stores at top department stores in South Korea. Over the years, they've continued to expand the business and in 2019, they opened a store in Bengaluru, India.
The brand came to Singapore in 2020 and started out with four cloud kitchens before opening an offline outlet.
In 2021, they opened the first franchise outlet in Singapore and in 2022, they opened their 10th physical outlet.
Now, they have over 100 outlets in four countries.
What makes their pizzas desirable, apart from the taste, is the cheap price point. This allows anyone to eat their pizza!
They also use specially formulated and produced dough which helps them push out good pizza fast without compromising on the flavours and textures.
I've been intrigued by GoPizza for the longest time and was excited to finally try their food.
I realised that at Yishun Park Hawker Centre, there are two GoPizza outlets! But they are not the same — one sells classic flavours which the other one sells Indian flavours. I checked out the Indian stall and got myself the Masala Chicken Pizza. I also discovered that they don't just sell pizza — they sell pasta too! So I ordered the Butter Chicken Cream Pasta as well.
The pizza was a good size for one person and was cut up into neat triangles for easy consumption. The chicken was tender and the dough was on the thicker side, a little like bread.
The pasta was interesting as well but I must say that the butter chicken flavours could have been more prominent.
But all in all, a very interesting concept that is perfect for single diners who still want to enjoy a good pizza without worrying about the size and cost!
