Established in 1933 by Mr. Montaro (grandfather of the owner in Singapore), Monzushi began its journey as a humble stall named "Monchanya" nestled beside a Public Bathhouse. In those days, Sushi was a casual, grab-and-go affair, enjoyed from street vendors. As Mr.Montaro's passion for serving his customers grew, he opened Edomae-style Sushi restaurant "Monzushi" in Yutenji, Meguro-ku,Tokyo, where he delighted countless patrons with his culinary creations.

With over 85 years of rich history, Monzushi has been passed down through three generations of the Kaneko family, upholding the time-honored traditions of Japanese Sushi. At the Yutenji, Meguro location, the torch is carried by Mr. Hiroyuki Kaneko (father of the owner in Singapore) and Mr. Yusuke Kaneko (young brother of the owner in Singapore). Meanwhile, Mr. Keisuke Kaneko, ventured out with an adventurous spirit to establish another Monzushi branch in Singapore. Emulating his grandfather's unwavering dedication, Mr.Keisuke welcomes guests with the same pride and passion.
