The owner Ms. Eileen lived in Taiwan for more than 6 years. After tasting her very first Lu Rou Fan, she fell in love with the dish, setting her on a journey to research on how its made, to the point that she even opened her restaurant in Taiwan! After a few years, she returned to Singapore for family reasons. In Singapore, she tried working as a restaurant manager, but could not shake off the urge to make Lu Rou Fan and decided to open this hawker stall. Initially, she made Lu Rou Fan the traditional Taiwanese way, but she adopted the advice she received from her Singaporean customers to achieve this fusion dish.
Every morning at 6a.m., she comes to her stall to prepare the meat. She first drains the blood from the meat thoroughly to remove the smell, followed by simmering the meat for more than 5 hours to make it tender.
Do try their fish soup too!

Couldn't decide on my afternoon fix until the bright red lantern outside this stall caught my eye. I decided to try the A1 Signature "Hakka" Braised Pork for $6. "Hakka" refers to the Hakka people who migrated to Singapore, and this dish incorporates flavours of their traditional cuisine.
I was surprised by the generous amount of braised pork and there was even a braised tea egg, which was made Hanjuku (creamy)! The meat was very tender, on the sweet side, and I couldn't stop eating it with the Japanese rice!
