Specialising in Korean-Chinese food, O.bba Jang is a popular restaurant in Singapore known for its handmade noodles like jjajangmyeon (black bean sauce noodles), jjamppong (noodles in spicy seafood broth). Besides that, they are also famous for their KBBQ.

While not a Michelin-starred restaurant, O.bba Jjajang was featured in a Michelin Guide article called "Sun Kim's Slice Of Seoul In Singapore", where the chef of one Michelin star contemporary Korean restaurant Meta, Sun Kim, shared that he would visit the eatery often with his restaurant team for supper after dinner service.

O.bba Jang has become so popular that over the years that they have expanded to have multiple stores at Tanjong Pagar, Amoy Street and Cheong Chin Nam Road. All their branches open late, making it a good supper spot.

When it comes to authentic South Korean barbeque, O.bba Jang is not just my, but many Singaporean's go-to spot.

Their set meals are extremely value-for-money and are catered to various group sizes.

When I visited the restaurant on Saturday evening around 11pm, it was relatively quiet and I managed to get a seat quickly. My husband and I wanted a mix of beef and pork so we opted for the Set C choice , which comes with beef short rib, sliced pork belly, marinated pork rib, pork sausage, your choice of soup, steamed egg and a variety of side dishes.

The quality of meat here at O.bbq BBQ is always good and fresh. I also love how they have many variety of sides to choose from — more exciting than most South Korean restaurants in Singapore, I feel.

The best part is the service! The staff here are extremely friendly and they help cook the meat so you don't have to get your hands dirty.
