Red Ginger is located at the basement of PLQ Mall and is easily accessible by the Circle Line.
The brand opened its first store in the west in 2000 and in 2019, they opened another store in the East conveniently near Paya Lebar.
Thanks to its colourful, ethnic decor, the shop isn't hard to spot.
The most popular item here is their nasi padang. Diners have the freedom to pick and choose any ingredients they desire and pair it with rice. Apart from that, there are also fixed dishes like curry fish head, butter prawns and laksa.

I love nasi padang and I was pleased to discover this gem at paya lebar.
My dining companion and i opted to get the nasi lemak and added on eggplants for vegetables. We also got the biryani set.
While we came late at night, the food was fresh and extremely delicious. Serving sizes were also surprisingly large so we were left stuffed after the meal. I especially enjoyed the biryani, it tasted very authentic and the curry chicken was uber juicy — literally fall-off-the bone tender!
The staff here are also polite and efficient so you don't have to wait too long for your food.
