Pig organ soup is all about the ingredients and the deep flavourful broth. For Fu Qiang Pig's Organ soup at Marsiling Mall Hawker Centre, it's one that serves up decent hot pipping bowls that satisfy both the tummy and the heart.
The hawker centre is considered rather new, and definitely clean, compared to other hawker centers out there. In terms of space, it's also rather large, boasting a good variety of stalls and food to choose from.
Fu Qiang offers not just Pig's Organ soup, but popular items like Pig's trotters, meatball soup and even Singaporean's favourite, Bak Kut Teh.
What's great about stalls like these, is that if you require more soup - because why not, you can always go back to ask for more without additional charges.
With Pig's organ soup, be prepared for the variety of innards and meat options and of course, chilli if you fancy something a bit more spicy.
The thing about pig's organ soup is that it can be a single person ideal meal option, or a shared item with friends and loved ones.
What's great for this stall is that they offer a variety of food, so you can get other savoury food to share. I got the Pig Organ's soup and Bak Kut Teh for lunch.
The pig's organ soup is definitely much better than the Bak Kut Teh. The soup has a deep and rich broth, a strong garlic-ky taste but not too overpowering. Most importantly, the ingredients in it are fresh, especially the innards. They were chewy, and even had simmered well with the soup, leaving a savoury, pepper-y taste.
For the Bak Kut Teh, it was okay - nothing too special as one would compare this to other more popular stalls in Singapore. However, I'd say the meat is tender and goes really well with the chilli and rice.
Overall, a nice dish that satisfy cravings.
