D&Z is a Muslim-friendly stall at Golden Mile Food Centre that has been at the hawker centre for several years, It specialises in a range of delicious Malay foods.

Many of these are staples like mee rebus, mee siam and tahu goreng. There is also ayam bakar, which is Indonesian grilled chicken.

Craving satay? They have that here too and it is one of their speciality dishes. So is their chicken wings!

And apart from grilled meat on sticks, there is also grilled prawns on sticks, which is also known as udang bakkar in malay.

I was spoilt for choice and really wanted to try their satay but I ended up getting the ayam bakar instead because it is one of my favourite foods.

This came with a grilled chicken, a mound of rice, a bowl of soup, chilli, and some fried tofu.

I really liked the chicken! It was so fleshy and very moist. Also had been grilled well. The chilli was on the spicier end and really packed a punch, but added such a nice heated touch to the dish. The only thing I didn't like was the soup. It tasted like MSG water.
