Seah Family Braised Duck Rice has been at Bukit Timah Market & Food Centre for decades.
The business itself is over 30 years old and they speciality lies in braised duck, with a recipe that they have perfected for over the past few years.
The menu here is simple — the stall sells duck with either rice, noodles or kwap chap. You can also get a plate of their speciality bean sprouts for some extra fibre and crunch.
When I visited the stall on a weekend evening, I thankfully did not need to queue. I ordered myself a duck rice.
Here, a generous layer of sliced duck blankets the rice and is doused in a sweet,m viscous gravy. the duck itself had a good fat to meat ratio so it wasn't dry, something that a lot of duck places get wrong. The dish also came with a side of herbal soup which was absolutely delicious! Doesn't seem like they added any msg to that and it was a good palate cleanser in between bites.
