When it comes to duck rice, or kway chap, Leng Kee serves a decent portion, with a standard plate of ingredients that one would expect.

Kway chap typically consists of broad, flat rice noodles (kway) served in a dark, rich broth. The noodles are usually accompanied by a variety of ingredients such as braised pork belly, pig's offal (like intestines and ears), tofu, and sometimes hard-boiled eggs. The presentation can vary from place to place, but it’s often served in a deep bowl or on a large plate with the broth on the side or poured over the ingredients.

The stallowners at Leng Kee work very fast - definitely shows how long they have been in the business. While not much talking and chatting with customers, I do think they aim to serve their dishes to customers pretty quickly.

If you are craving for some salty-savoury soup, and a hungry tummy for lunch or dinner, I'd say opt for Kway Chap. Leng Kee's Kway Chap isn't the best in town, but it serves a decent bowl that balances its sweetness, satiness and chewy texture well.

The ingredients are also rather fresh, so there's no smell that one would fear of. The broth is dark and aromatic, made from a mix of soy sauce, spices, and sometimes herbs, giving it a complex, rich flavour.

The texture of kway chap is a combination of soft and chewy. The rice noodles are smooth and somewhat slippery, which matches really well with the soup/broth. Not too salty, and of course, add the chilli dip for an extra kick.
