With so many stalls at Mayflower Hawker Centre, this stall does stand out amongst the rest for the queue of people and customers it sees.

It specializes in a delightful bowl of pork rib noodles, one that Singaporeans adore. In addition to their pork rib noodles, Zhen Ming also serves a fantastic prawn noodle dish that deserves equal attention.

When a stall has 'pork ribs' in its stall name, one can expect it's going to be something they are proud of. The tender pork ribs are slow-cooked for many hours, allowing the spices and sauce to seep in the meat.

The noodles, typically served with a choice of soup or dry, spicy or non-spicy options as well. For prawn noodles, I'll definitely recommend getting the dry option so that you'll get a bowl of the best purest soup to taste its authentic flavour.

The stallowners aren't exactly the friendliest of people, but are professional and do their jobs well.

I ordered prawn noodles dry with chilli and enjoy every bit of it. The prawns are fresh and succulent, adding a delightful sweetness to the savoury broth. The broth has a deep umami flavour, with it being not too salty - which prawn noodles do tend to go towards. It's rich and sweet, great for those who love seafood lovers.

Portion wise, you can say it's affordable to what you are given. For one person, it's definitely enough but if you are hungry, maybe consider an add-on. Zhen Ming Pork Rib Noodles is quite the popular spot for lunch breaks so go early if needed.
If you’re in the area, don’t miss out on this stall for a satisfying taste of local comfort food!
