The owner of this stall, Mr. Loo has been helping out at his family and friend's stalls since he was 9 years-old. Seeing the beaming smiles of customers as they enjoyed the meals he served, he started to learn how to cook at the age of 18 so as to make his very own customers smile too. Fast forward to today at 62 years-old, Mr. Loo wants to continue upgrading himself to cook even better. He is so committed to making Char Kway Teow that he prepares every plate fresh upon order, stir-frying the noodles with his very own original black sauce recipe. The cockles are also delivered fresh every morning.
His daughter has been coming down to the stall to help him for her love of cooking. Mr. Loo mentioned that if his daughter would like to run his stall, he would be happy to pass this down to her.

I had to come after my friend had raved to me about this place. I had purposely came slightly before the dinner crowd, and yet there was already a queue in front of me! I ordered their only item on the menu, their Cockles Char Kway Teow, small size for SGD$4. The aroma of the wok-hei wafted in the air... The egg was thoroughly coated with the original black sauce!! There was taugeh (beansprouts), char siu, spring onion, cockles and prawns, very fresh! The pork lard was crispy and aromatic, mixed with the noodles is just amazing... I don't think I can eat any other Char Kway Teow ever again...
