Grids & Circles, located at Chinatown aims to bring people together with their food and workspace concept. You can choose to dine at the cafe, or ‘rent’ a desk for an unlimited time with free wifi and power plugs. Their third and highest floor doubles up as an event space and art gallery from time to time. The cafe has a wide variety of food and drink options, from small bites to heavy lunches and sweet desserts. Or else, pop by for a perk-me-up, or quench your thirst with the tea selections while you catch up with friends over drinks.

The interior of the cafe feels cozy and casual, decorated with wall paintings that are also up for sale. It can get a little crowded during lunch hours, but try your luck if you are around the vicinity and explore this cafe.

There are two different pricing options if you intend to work and dine there, or purely to eat, drink and chat.

I visited Grids & Circles after my lunch as I was looking for a cup of coffee and a place to sit and chat with my friends. I chose the ‘Clouds in my Coffee’ cold brew, a definitive choice during a hot sunny day. The chilled white coffee had a creamy finish - supposedly depicting the ‘clouds’ - and a really sweet aftertaste. I actually had to add water to the drink as I felt it was too sweet for my liking. However, I am someone who doesn’t crave for sweet desserts, so this may differ from others.

I do enjoy the ambiance here, away from the crowded CBD and a quiet chill-out area. Moreover, this quaint cafe supports the local art scene, a move that I appreciate dearly.
