Plastered across the storefront of 63 Laksa are a multitude of accolades and even a newspaper clipping showing that Myanmar state counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi had tried their laksa when she visited their stall back in 2016. They’ve also won a series of other awards such as during the City Hawker Food Hunt and Singapore Best Foods 2017. 63 Laksa specialise in simple yet hearty bowls of laksa and each bowl used cost $2 per but recently, it has increased to $2.50 (which is understandable as they have to keep up with inflation). It’s still one of the more affordable dishes at Ghim Moh Market & Food Centre and a good option for breakfast or lunch!

Signature

Laksa

I ordered myself a bowl of their laksa that was presented in a very pretty China bowl and served on a small tray. The portion size may seem a little small to some, but to me, it’s just right as I find laksa very cloying and I don’t usually want to eat too much of it at one go either way. Surprisingly, the serving size turned out to be all right in the end and I was left feeling very full and satisfied! The broth was very rich and spicy which is great for spicy food lovers and each bowl comes with a generous amount of cockles and fishcake. Can foresee myself eating here again!
