From the name itself, you can tell that this fishball noodle stall has been in the food centre and area for many years, and yes — they’ve been around for over 70 years! It is currently run by a few old ladies who laboriously churn out nostalgic bowls of Teochew-style fishball noodles. Over the years, they’ve also won a number of accolades which are proudly plastered on the signboard of the stall. They’ve also been featured on a number of Chinese television programmes! The fishball noodles here are also very cheap and you can get yourself a bowl for either $3 or $4.
I got myself a $3 bowl of dry Teochew fishball noodles which came with a bowl of noodles drenched in sauce and a side of soup. The bowl of noodles comes with spring noodles topped with pork slices, pork liver, pork balls and fishcake. For just $3 it really was a pretty sizeable bowl! The noodles had a good bite and were al dente while the pork components were fresh and tasted good. It’s a good place to check out if you are craving for a simple yet satisfying bowl of Teochew-style fishball noodles.
