Located in Yuhua Village Market and Food Centre, this Zi Char stall operates from lunch to dinner.
Chef Cao Yong is well-known for being the World Championship Chef Shanghai Team Champion representing Singapore.
Truely living up to his accolades, Gong Xi Fa Cai Eating House has gained a loyal following of locals who love enjoying high-quality Zi Char right here in the heartlands. Enjoy the creamy, collagen-packed soups made from hours of boiling the broth!
We also highly recommend Nyonya Assam Red Grouper and Spanish Pork Ribs called "Dong Po Gu". The chilli comes with Cincalok!
Signature
Braised Seacucumber Abalone w Scaillion, Butter Salted Egg Prawn, Champion Superior Shark Bone Soup Lobster Porridge, Chef's Traditional Recipe Sauce, Claypot Braised Beancurd, Curry Fish Head, Deer Meat in Hot Plate, Fried Prawn Roll, Mixed Omelette, Nyonya Asam Steamed Fish Head, Nyonya Asam Steamed Red Grouper, Salted Egg Pork Ribs, Signature Home Made Chili Sauce, Signature Spanish Pork Ribs Dong Po Gu, Sliced Fish White Bee Hoon, Stir-Fried Lala w Sambal Chili, Stir-Fried Spanish Iberico Jowl, Taiwan Style Stewed Chicken w Three Cups Sauce
There were so many patrons all the way into the night. I ordered the Signature Lobster Porridge, the Signature Spanish Pork Ribs "Dong Po Gu" and Kang Kong (I told them to make it not spicy).
The Lobster Porridge was creamy with a strong umami flavour from the broth!! Also, the lobster was plump and fresh!! Couldn't believe that they generously added 3 half-lobsters despite ordering size small! Went amazing with the slightly acidic Cincalok!
Next up, the exquisitely soft and tender "Dong Po Gu" pork ribs... The thick sauce poured over the pork ribs was an excellent combo!
The Kang Kong was stir-fried with garlic, delicious!
Restaurant-quality, hawker-price... What more could you ask for?
