Every hawker centre has a stall selling soya bean drinks and at Maxwell Hawker Centre, this is one of the better ones.
The stall has been here for 11 years and is run by a middle-age couple. The husband makes and prepares the desserts while the wife usually just sells them and makes the drinks on the spot.
While their name suggests that they only sell soya bean products, they actually sell a variety of other things like fruit juices, nata de coco drinks and even bandung — talk about a good amount of variety!
It was a sweltering hot day so I decided to get drinks from Healthy Bean — Nata De CoCo Soya and Chin Chow Soya.
The stall owner here is so nice by the way! I was served by the wife and she was so polite and eager to serve customers — 10 points for that!
The drinks were pretty large for the price point. It was my first time having nata de coco in my soya bean and I must say, this may be one of my favourite toppings! And of course, the chin chow — grass jelly — was as good as ever.
This is a very under-the-radar stall but I really recommend it!
