This drink stall is run by Mr. Augustin for more than 14 years! Although he serves other drinks apart from coffee, Mr. Augustin is very particular about his coffee. Not only does he use Singaporean coffee beans, he measures the amount of grounded coffee with a spoon, and pours hot water at a specific temperature into the coffee dripper. After which, he pours the coffee from a height taller than his shoulder into a separate pot, and repeats this entire process for more than 3 times! This is why his coffee has the perfect amount of bitterness. Because his stall is located in a touristy area, Mr. Augustin is currently trying his best to pick up as many languages as he can to greet his customers!
I was on a morning walk with my dad when he asked me whether I wanted enjoy coffee made by an interesting, happy-go-lucky uncle, and I happily obliged. I'm not really a coffee connoisseur, but I could tell that this coffee is not overly bitter compared to other coffee I've had, which made it refreshing! I'm not a fan of bitter stuff, so Mr. Augustin specially added condensed milk for me (^^)
When I went to say "Thank you" before leaving, he adorably said "Arigato-gozaimasu" to me with a lovely smile :)
