Si Chuan Flavour Crab Stall, located at People's Park Food Centre in Chinatown, specialises in Chinese cuisine. Feel free to choose from the spicy and non-spicy options on the featured menu! Offers three types of grilled fish. Also serves Mapo Tofu, Mapo Brinjal and Qing Jiao Rou Si.
This stall is the most bustling one in the entire food centre. The #1 Most Popular Order is the grilled fish served in a rectangular wok. Extremely crowded, with many customers tapao-ing (takeaway). Pay close attention as the tao-kay will call you in Chinese when your food is ready!

I was shocked at how crowded this stall was. I had the non-spicy grilled fish with tomatoes and eggs in it. Generous servings of tomatoes, eggs, black fungus, Chinese cabbage, beansprouts, etc. on top of the grilled fish. Served pipping hot. The tomato-flavoured soup was delicious! When I asked the tao-kay what type of fish is it, I was told that it is a type of "Chinese fish", but I believe it is a type of common carp fish called "Song fish". There was no fishy smell, which made the white flesh palatable. Highly recommend it for its truly local flavour. Both the Mapo Brinjal and the Fried Rice were delicious ♪ I especially liked the Mapo Brinjal ♪ I'd love to try all their other dishes next time!
