Redhill Market itself is a vibrant hawker centre, bustling a variety of food options and is seen with a lot of diners, especially during lunch and over the weekends.

The hawker centre can get really crowded and rowdy during meal times, and sometimes those nasty pigeons do fly in as well, so be sure to fin a good spot if you decide to dine there.

Making porridge may not sound like a very difficult task, but making it silky smooth, and preparing all the ingredients beforehand is a hard and tedious task. Because most of the stuff are pre-made, waiting for a bowl of porridge wasn't too long. Most people do get their bowls within a few minutes.

The highlight of Porridge Pot is its silky smooth porridge. Diners can choose from a variety of ingredients, including fish, chicken, and century eggs, all of which are fresh and complement the creamy base beautifully.

Porridge can be very comforting and while some people do associate this with being sick, take it that it's an easy meal good for anytime of the day.

The texture of the silky porridge is just right—light and comforting. The accompanying toppings and sauces that add an extra layer of flavour, enhancing the overall experience. Century egg - an acquired taste for non-Asians, actually gives an extra kick to this bowl of otherwise plain porridge. The thick 'zhok' texture make it easy to eat and has a tinge of saltiness and sweetness to it.

While other times I'd always say add spice to your meals, this time for porridge, I'll counter it. Just plain and authentic is good.
