This is Towkay neo Ms. Peng's 30th year as a veteran chef since she started learning how to cook when she was 20 years old. (Towkay neo is female boss in Hokkien) She was serving Dim Sum in China before coming to Singapore 20 years ago with her family. Ms. Peng wanted to cook in Singapore as well, hence with her wealth of knowledge and experience of preparing authentic Dim Sum and noodle dishes, she opened her very own stall. Her recipes are uniquely her own, coming up with various cooking techniques. She recommends No. 3 Shanghai Guantang Xiao Long Bao (soup-filled dumplings), No. 16 Si Chuan Dan Dan Ramen, and No. 18 Red Braised Beef Ramen. Her Xiao Long Bao is the most popular item, and they are sold out by evening.
Currently, Ms. Peng runs a total of 2 outlets. She is looking to expand her business in the future!

Signature

This time, I ordered their new Prawn Dumpling Noodle Soup($5) that I've been curious about. There were 4 prawn dumplings along with lettuce, scallions, fried onions and noodles! I could taste the umami flavour of the vegetables and the chicken stock in the soup, refreshing yet soothing to the stomach〜 Added the vinegar and white pepper and it enhanced the flavour so much! Generous portions of straight, thinly cut white noodles, al dente. The star of the show was the dumplings, stuffed with plump shrimp and wrapped in chewy dumpling skin〜 For this price, the volume and flavour was immaculate <3 I have to try the most popular Xiao Long Bao next!!
