Butter Pumpkin Sauce Prawn, Claypot Garlic Chicken, Deep Fried Pork Trotter, Pork Fermented Pork Belly, Signature Beancurd
I've been wanting to try the tzi char here for the longest time and I finally did so one Friday night.
They open till very late which is great for supper night owls like me. There wasn't much of queue either so I managed to make an order fast.
I was extremely spoilt by choice by the menu as there were just so many dishes to order but I eventually settled on the BBQ Sotong, Butter Pumpkin Sauce Pork and Cai Pu Beancurd.
I really enjoyed the Butter Pumpkin Sauce Pork which was extremely interesting. The pumpkin sauce was subtly sweet and extremely creamy and this paired well with the savoury and crispy pork — I was practically scraping the sauce off the plate!
The sotong was also a gem of a find. The sotong pieces were extremely tender and not rubbery at all. The spicy and sweet sambal sauce enhanced it as well and provided a fiery kick. I also slathered the sauce all over some rice as well and that was delicious too.
The beancurd was good too and the was doused in a viscous gravy. Just wish there had been more beancurd!
