Good Partner may look like a simple drink stall from afar, but it actually has a very rich history and was established back in 1961 — a little before Singapore was founded!
It was started by a travelling hawker who only had one menu item. Now, the stall have expanded their range of drink options to even include interesting ones like Birds Nest Drink.
Of course, they also have their usuals like water chestnut, ice lemon tea and grass jelly — perfect to beat the heat in sunny Singapore!
I visited the stall on a weekend afternoon and there was no crowd!
What caught my eye immediately when I was scanning through their options was the Birds Nest Drink. It is definitely the first time I am seeing something like this in a Singapore hawker centre setting so I knew I had to get it.
At wow, it was pretty interesting! It was sweet but on the milder end and was easy on the palate. It also had a slight cooling effect which was perfect because it was a very hot day. Will consider getting this the next time I am here.
