Overeasy, which is under the renowned Lo and Behold Group, was established in 2009 and specialises in hearty, American diner-style food with a modern twist.
Located conveniently by the bay near landmarks like Esplanade, Marina Bay Sands and Fullerton hotel, diners can enjoy gorgeous views of Singapore's skyline while enjoying the view.
The extensive menu includes all-day breakfast items like the Ultimate Diner Breakfast and Smashed Avocado Toast. There are also classic dishes like Steak & egg, Baby Back Ribs and Seared Trout. And of course, there are several burger options like the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Burger, Portobello Mushroom Burger and the 'To-Die-For' Burger.
The eatery also offers alcoholic drinks so diners can enjoy a tipple while chomping down on their food and enjoying the stunning views of the bay.
I have been wanting to visit Overeasy for the longest time to try their iconic Beer Can Chicken and I finally got the chance to do so during the weekends.
The restaurant was not as crowded as I had anticipated it to be and I got a seat immediately. Apart from the Beer Can Chicken, I also got The Truffle Burger, Trout Ceviche Tortilla and for dessert, I ordered the Sticky Date Pudding.
The Beer Can Chicken was as magnificent as I had imaged it to be and featured a whole chicken with its base stuffed with a beer can. I had expected some portions to be on the dry side but was pleasantly surprised to find that the bird was tender all around and extremely juicy. The dish came with a side of vegetables as well which were cooked well and very crunchy. This feeds 2-3 people comfortably!
The burger was also a hit and was delicious, very American diner-style.
Another hit for me was the Sticky Date Pudding. As one of my favourite desserts, I've had my fair share of it and can safely say that Overeasy has one of the better renditions out there!
