A tiny confectionery store nestled on the 1st Floor of Tanjong Pagar Plaza. An unbelievable selection of treats for such a small stall, with a showcase stuffed with cakes, muffins, baked goods and drinks, all for an affordable price! Their cheesecake is the very Basque Burnt Cheesecake that has been steadily rising to fame in the recent years.
Their muffins are a consistent Number 1 Favourite! Choose from Cheese, Chocolate, and other fruit-based flavours. Often baked fresh out of the oven, they may not be displayed in the showcase below, so don't be shy to request for your flavour of choice! Be careful, your might end up chomping down your muffins before reaching home!
You can expect Chocolat N' Spice to pop up whenever someone asks, "Where's your go-to muffin store?" I was ready to get my hands on their muffins, but I clamoured at the showcase in awe of their wide selection of sweets!! Just look at their bountiful selection of cheesecakes!! I ended up ordering the 6 flavours of muffins I had been eyeing on and their Basque Cheesecake to top it off. Soft and moist muffins <3 Each muffin looked like it was baked with love, and I love how the muffins were not uniform looking, which gave off a homemade feel. The Basque Cheesecake, in contrast to its firmness, melted in my mouth as I licked it off my spoon. Currently, they do accept payment in advance for reservations, so do ring them up if you have a birthday party or business function in mind! You can also buy whole cakes and cookies, perfect for a little treat!
(P.S. I actually grew up eating these muffins from the Shunfu Market outlet. My father used to tabao these muffins, and I ate them right before rushing to school. Nostalgia at its finest. Highly recommend (especially the cheese and blueberry ones...)
