Also known to be called ‘Mr Duck’, this shop has an array of duck options like duck rice, noodles and even kway chap. The great draw about this stall is that not only the portions are decent, for the affordable price, you can tell how much of preparation and cooking goes behind it.
It also opens till quite late, serving both the lunch and dinner crowd. It does get quite crowded at night, so be prepared to either share tables or wait a while to get a table. Braised duck isn’t an easy process to get it right, so for them to offer a variety of dishes, it is no wonder this stall is the popular stall in the coffeeshop.
IF you are dining there, then they serve you to your table, which is great because waiting time can take a while, but if you are opting for takeaway, then be prepared to wait at least 10 minutes or so.
I have tried a few options from his stall as I really loved their food, and with and affordable price, it does make it that much better. My favourite has to be the duck noodles and duck rice. The noodles was chewy and very flavourful, thanks to the sauces mixed in. For the duck slices, the meat is fresh and has pleasant fragrance that keeps you going back for more. There is also a strong herbal taste and smell to the soup, which gives that strong, fragrant aroma. It tends to get a little salty, so be sure to have water or beverage beside you.
If you are getting kway chap, the plate of ingredients has a generous offering, but I’d say add on the duck if you are going for this because their signature is after all, the roasted duck.
