Just a stone’s throw away from Potong Pasir MRT station, the adorable store sign greets you with its cute cow mascot eating a bowl of noodles.
Serving their signature Hainanese style beef noodle bowls, there are dry and soup options for beef bowls, stews, along with laksa for those who are looking for a spicier alternative. It is nice to have a standalone air-conditioned dining area to sit and enjoy your meal.
This eatery is run by a family and it shows through their food and service. The staff, or owners of the stall are very friendly, and would gladly recommend options for you if you are at a lost of what to get. The chef running this place used to be a professional golfer and used his tried-and-tested way of making the beef noodles. Not bad to say the least!
For the price point, it is actually quite affordable, with the ingredients used and the interior of the place.
Signature
Beef Brisket Noodles, Nyonya Laksa (Seafood), Rendang Beef, Signature Beef Brisket, Sliced Beef Noodles
More than anything, I really like the ambiance and the location of The Beef Station. Perhaps it is situated at Potong Pasir, it isn’t like your crowded city area where I had to wait long for my food. In fact, the nice eatery is what made me go back for 2nd and even 3rd visits.
I ordered a soup beef bowl and was served with slices of beef, beef balls, tau gey and white and yellow thick noodles. I thought the broth and soup was tasty, a little salty but strong enough for flavour. I wouldn’t like it too rich anyway. The meat slices are chewy, so do the beef balls. There is a rather hearty taste to it, and a family-kind of home-cooked meal.
One thing I did hope for is for the drinks menu to be a little more extensive. Most of the drinks offered are bottled and can drinks, but would perhaps be happier if there are brewed coffee or tea options.
