Established in 1927, our flavors have been cherished by many, with the restaurant relocating several times within Singapore. Today, the fourth-generation owner continues this legacy at the corner of North Bridge Road.
The steamboat typically includes napa cabbage and fried yam, but you can add other ingredients to your liking. For the fish, you have a few options. 'Song Yu' (梭鱼, barracuda) is the classic choice for Teochew steamboat, using the fish head. 'Chang Yu' (鲳鱼, pomfret) is considered an auspicious fish and is popular for its tender meat.
The steamboat here has a warming fish broth - clear yet still packed with flavour, and simple white-fleshed pomfret filets with stewed cabbage and yam.
