A household name that is loved by all Singaporeans, Toast Box is known for its freshly brewed cups of Nanyang coffee and extensive range of local bites.

The contemporary coffee chain was established in 2005 and has multiple outlets peppered across Singapore. In fact, it is so popular that they have stores in places like Hong Kong, Jakarta, Johor Bahru and Kuala Lumpur as well.

The coffee here is made from freshly-ground caramelised coffee beans — great for coffee lovers who need a pick-me-up in the morning!

If you're feeling peckish, you can also grab something from their menu like laksa, mee siam and nasi lemak — classic Singapore dishes that are packed with nostalgia.

Like many Singaporeans, I grew up with Toast Box. And I love how it is more than just toast! They sell drinks and local favourites too.

This time around, I got the mee siam and laksa. These were sets and came with your choice of desserts and drinks too so I got iced milo, kaya cake and banana cake.

The mee siam was surprisingly good and came with a massive fried chicken wing! It was also loaded with plenty of shrimp.

The laksa isn't the most concentrated I've had but it was still decently creamy and good. They use bee tai mak here instead of the typical noodles you find in laksa but I quite enjoyed it as it added a nice twist!
