While Haakons sounds like it is from overseas, it is actually a homegrown brand started by Andreas Dale, who is half-Norwegian and lives in Singapore.
The brand hopes to be able to provide healthier meal options without the food losing its flavour.
The brand has several outlets scattered across Singapore, including Somerset. There is the option to DIY your own bowl of food or choose one of the preset menu items.
Some present menu items include the Protein Platter. There is also the Salmon Soba, Masala Cauliflower Rice & Fish, and Tuna Tataki Pasta.

If you're watching your weight like I am, Haakons is a really good option for filling, healthy, yet delicious food.
I've tried several of their menu items and these all have been good. This time around, I decided to get the Protein Platter instead. Which comes with steak, chicken breast, dory fillet, scrambled egg, charred broccoli, sweet potatoes, and salad. It was extremely filling and I had to let my husband finish the rest!
