Though hidden in a little corner of a popular shopping mall, Arteastiq DePatio manages to bring the garden-themed atmosphere indoor. With lots of greenery, plants and colours that fill the space, it does make feel like an alfresco dining place. The casual restaurant also offers art jamming for all artsy and crafty people who would love to put their Picasso talent to the test.
Known for their high teas and tea options, do not underestimate the food serves here as well. From all-day breakfast menu items to sides and pizza, and even the dessert options. While it doesn’t seem like it, Arteastiq also specialises in making artisanal Japanese-Italian pizzas, hand-stretched and topped with favourite pizza ingredients like burrata cheese and even wagyu beef.
In terms of price, it definitely sits on the slightly higher price point, but considering the quality and portions of food, it was not an unreasonable one.
Signature
I went to Arteastiq for dinner with a friend and wasn’t disappointed. Although having visited Plaza Singapura many times, finding this restaurant took me longer than usual. Tucked away from the main shops, I am glad to have find this hidden gem. For starters, I got the Mentaiko Fries. The creamy mentaiko sauce gives a sweet and cheesy taste, which to me, the best sauce for fries after nacho cheese. The signature Tuscan Butter Salmon is parked under ‘Sharing’, but it is full enough for a main dish in my opinion. For the mains, I had the Truffle Carbonara which had a strong hint of truffle. While it is good, it didn’t stand out for me. Whereas the Tuscan Butter Salmon was cooked to perfection. The fish was soft and warm, which goes really well with the rich buttery taste, but not overpowering that particular subtle salmon fishy taste. It was definitely filling for 2 people, so we didn’t had the stomach for desserts. Hopefully I’ll be back for more.
