The very first laksa stall in Katong is actually Janggut Laksa! Beginning in the 1940's to expanding their 3rd outlet till date. Once you've tried this place - you'll have to be ok with not being able to settle for less after!

What more could you ask for in a bowl of laksa?! If love was edible this would be it. Helpful and enthusiastic staff, and consistency in their bowls considering the many outlets they have. The broth was creamy and coconuty, with a layer of fatty soupy toppings. The cockles were not too cooked nor raw - a light pink shade that was juicy and tender to taste. The noodle and fishcakes were cut and sliced; making it easier to eat with just a spoon given (no chopsticks needed). The otah has a mild taste and sambal given on the side was sour. Each bowl is made fresh with about a 7 minute waiting time. Highly highly recommend!!
