If you are shopping around orchard or town area, finding a food court that sells cheap food is quite impossible. This hawker at Ngee Ann City has a variety of food stalls, and while they do sell rather standard dishes that you'd find at any hawker center, I'd say to get the 'House of White Bee Hoon', is a little more worth your money.
With the seafood ingredients given, and quite a sure-in for its taste, you may be better off spending $5-$8 more on something that is worthwhile.
There are a couple of options to choose from - but if you can decide, always go for the signature and see it for yourself. This one was a pretty good choice and I did enjoy myself. The waiting time for this isn't quite long, and you may not spot a queue for it goes with the buzzer system. The hard part isn't the waiting for the food, but the getting a table to sit and eat.
If that's covered, you'll be fine.
First off, portion wise may seem like a lot, but it is actually just nice for 1 person (even for me, a female), I thought it was good enough for me. I thought the servings of the seafood like fish, prawns and squid were rather generous. For the price, probably one would expect something like this.
I enjoyed how it was rather wet and had a slight charred fragrant and taste to it. I would love for it to be deeper in flavour, but I thought it was not too bad already. It does tend to get a little salty towards the end, but overall, a good meal.
Will be back if I am able to find a table to sit and enjoy my meal.
