Fish soup with a bowl of rice doesn't seem like an order can go wrong. And point in case, it didn't.

Like most of the fish soup stalls, there are options for the mains such as mee sua, rice, noodles etc.

The uncle who mans the stall is friendly, and does chat up with customers when they are waiting for their bowl of hot soup. While there isn't a huge crowd, the hawker centre alone is a popular dining area, so it may get difficult to find seats especially during peak hours. The place isn't as clean as other hawker places, but has a good variety of options to choose from.

For the fish soup, there are chilli options too - and I'd recommend to go with the cut red chilli and the fermented beans, which is the typical Teochew style of the dipping sauce. Price for this stall is rather affordable but be prepared to queue and wait for your turn.

I was there during lunch and boy it was crowded. I chose this stall also because of the unique name it has. While the queue wasn't too long, you can see the constant stream of customers that head to this stall for a warm bowl of goodness.

Portion wise, it was good for 1 person and I'd say, a good generous slices of steamed fresh fish. If you like fish, I'd say go for the $5 option as there are a more fish compared to the $4 one.

The fish was chewy and fresh, and the soup has a hint of umami richness to it. Not one of the best there is, but the fish slices is better than the soup.
