Located centrally in Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10, Eng Ho Fried Hokkien Mee has been in Singapore for decades, serving up wok hei-filled plates of Hokkien mee.

They only specialise in one dish — Hokkien mee — and have perfected their craft after years of experience.

Their Hokkien mee is so good that it was even featured n Chinese papers Lianhe Wanbao as one of the top 10 Hokkien mee in Singapore — definitely something to boast about!

The queues for their Hokkien mee can be quite long, especially during peak periods, so do come early or at a non-peak hours to get your Hokkien mee fix!

They also open till quite late so night owls can come here to get their supper fix.

I came here around 10 pm on a Friday night and the shop was closing for the day. Thankfully, they still had some plates of Hokkien mee left and these were bundled up in wax paper so that diners can either opt for takeaway or eat it there.

I enjoyed mine in the hawker centre itself and I must say, this is really one of the better Hokkien mees I've had. It was the wet-style of Hokkien mee, which was creamy. The prawn stock used to cook the noodles was also packed with umami which gave the whole dish a very rich seafood taste.

It was a little lacking in the wok hei department but that was fine because the noodles itself was already so tasty. I can see why people call it one of their favourite Hokkien mee!
