Located in Amoy Street Food Centre, Hong Kee Beef Noodles has over 60 years of rich history. It was previously located at Tanglin Koek Road before moving to Cuppage Centre before eventually settling at Amoy Street Food Centre. It received the Michelin Bib Gourmand title in 2016 and was also praised by Makansutra as well as multiple food blogs. The family-owned business is currently run by second-generation owners. The concoction is made by simmering beef bones for 10 hours, this broth is served with noodles of the following 4 choices — yellow noodles, thin bee Hoon, slightly thicker bee hoon, and kway teow. You can order the dry or soup version. The stall is also halal-certified so our Muslim friends can enjoy it too!

I tried the dry version which still comes with a bowl of soup at the side so I get to taste the soup as well! I really loved the noodles, which came doused in a thick, viscous gravy that generously coated all the noodles. I opted for kway teow for my noodles which did not get soggy so I was quite pleased. What was the best part of the dish was the beef slices which was tender, juicy and very succulent. The soup was also surprisingly good and was rich and savoury — you can tell that it has been simmered for a really long time.
