This humble chicken rice stall has been here for over 20 years and specializes in what its name says — chicken rice.

It is currently run by a friendly husband and wife duo, who took over the man's father's stall many years ago.

Prior to moving here, the stall was actually located in an old hawker centre at Bugis and the skills and the recipe was passed down from the father to the son.

In fact, they've been around for so long that they have four generations' worth of customers!

Apart from chicken rice, they also specialise in other chicken dishes like chicken congee and chicken macaroni. To get some fibre in, order a side of their vegetables too!

I visited the stall on a weekday during the peak lunch hour period, so I had to queue quite some time for my food.

The stall owners were very friendly and efficient, swiftly serving me my food despite the throngs of people in queue.

I got the roast chicken rice set for an affordable $5.50 and this came with roast chicken, rice, oyster vegetables and a bowl of soup.

The chicken came doused in a light, sweet soya sauce and was pretty tender despite being roasted. Paired with the fragrant rice, this was a winning combination. The oyster vegetables also added a nice crunch to the dish. Overall it is worth queueing for and I would come back!
