Yong Seng Satay

The history of Yong Seng Satay goes back 90 years. It seems that the grandfather of the third-generation owner has started as an open-air merchant before the founding of Singapore. After that, the father succeeded the second generation and invented a grated pineapple sauce. It is said that the current Hawker Center was established 40 years ago and the current store was set up at the same time.

Freshly marinated and grilled-to-order satay, with juicy options such as Pork, Mutton, and Chicken satay for $0.60 per stick! As well as freshly chopped onion and cucumber on the plate, a cup of homemade peanut sauce with a family recipe pineapple sauce, and rice cakes inclosed in palm leaves. I was delighted to be greeted by the cheerful and extremely kind stall owner - which inherited the delicious satay business from his family from previous generations. We ordered 2 sticks of each type of meat, a favourite was the mutton as it was particularly juicy and tender. Each stick had an aroma of charcoal grilled, which was lovely. Recommended to pop by this place!
