The current owners of the stall, who are an elderly couple, took over the business from the husband's father, who first opened the stall in 1945 at what is now Bugis Junction.
The husband is the one who cooks the food and the wife takes the orders and serves the customers.
Eventually, it moved to Geylang Bahru Stadium, and then, to its current location at Golden Mile Food Centre.
The stall's speciality lies in beef and they serve this with noodles or rice.
Some menu items that people love are the Beef Brisket Kway Teow, Beef Tendon Soup, and Mixed Beef Kuay Teow.
I love beef noodles so I was really excited for this!
When I visited the stall one weekend evening, there was no queue and I got my food really fast.
I opted for the mixed beef kuay teow and this featured different cuts of beef and silky kuay teow that were doused in a thick, savoury gravy that tasted like it was made from beef essence.
The beef parts were delicious — really very and fork-tender, so good! The gravy made it all the while better and it clung to the noodles and protein. Would love to try their soup rendition of the dishes in the future because the broth smells absolutely heavenly!
