The stall has been around at Golden Mile Hawker Centre for years and is run by Mr Sunny Gan.

Sunny himself has over 40 years of experience with chicken rice. Eventually, he hopes to pass the family business down to his son who he has been teaching and mentoring.

The stall just sells classic Singapore chicken rice and you can either opt for roasted or steamed chicken. Those wanting more chicken can also get a whole chicken or half chicken!

The queues here are long so if you're coming down, try to go before peak meal periods to secure yourself a plate of their chicken rice.

Signature

Chicken Rice

When I came down during lunch one weekend, the queue was already extremely long and I had to wait a good 20 minutes for my food.

Thankfully, the employees were fast and efficient and my food was served to me in a jiffy despite the multiple customers.

I got the steamed chicken rice and added a braised egg. The portion size was decent and filling for the price point.

I usually opt for steamed chicken as it is more tender than roast chicken and I wasn't wrong with Hainanese Boneless Chicken Rice's chicken. The flesh was extremely juicy and moist and it paired nicely with the fragrant rice. I can see why the queues are so long!
