Established in 2019, Chee Cheong Fun Club specialises in as its name says, Chee Cheong Fun.
The stall is helmed by Ah Hui, who actually hails from Kuala Lumpur Malaysia and she has lived in Singapore for almost 10 years.
As she has been far from home for so long, she naturally began to miss the Kuala Lumpur-style chee cheong fun. So, she decided to recreate the flavours herself and eventually decided to open a stall to sell and share the dish with everyone.
What makes Ah Hui's chee cheong fun so special is that it's all handmade. Yes, that means no processed, factory-made stuff.
They also come in a variety of unique sauces like classic black sauce, sesame sauce and even a special laksa one. And of course, they had to include a KL famous curry rendition to pay homage to Ah Hui's roots.
Rice roll-wise, they have two types of rolls — flat and round — for varying textures!

You bet I was spoilt for choice while here at Chee Cheong Fun Club! Everything sounded so good, but I knew that I could only choose one.
Eventually, I settled for the Famous Curry Chee Cheong Fun as I wanted to have a taste of Ah Hui's childhood. The curry sauce was of an excellent consistency and was extremely rich with a good punch that wasn't too overwhelming.
I also enjoyed how the rice cakes were al dente and chewy with a fantastic bite. It also didn't soak up too much of the spicy curry gravy so it didn't get soggy.
I also really appreciate how generous the portion sizes here are and it definitely is very value-for-money, especially since I was very full and satisfied after my meal. Highly recommend!
