Located at the bustling Albert Centre, The Drinking Point is one of the few drink stalls here and they’ve been situated at the market for a few years. Apart from an extensive range of canned drinks like coke, green tea and oolong tea, the stall sells refreshing local homemade drinks like Honey Lemon, Lime Juice, Iced Lemon Tea, Sour Plum Juice and Chrysanthenum with Ginseng. They also sell sugarcane here, which is freshly squeezed upon request so you know that you’re getting the real deal.

When I reached the stall, there was a small queue of thirsty people that were eager to get their drinks. Thankfully, this moved along pretty fast as the people helming the stall are rather efficient.

I got myself a large cup of sugarcane and a large cup of honey lemon for just $4.20. These both were prepared before my very eyes and I enjoyed watching my sugarcane get freshly squeezed.

You truly get what you pay for and each cup was massive — more than enough for one person! The honey lemon, which is evidently home made and not pre-made, was very refreshing and not too sweet or sour. The sugarcane was also very sweet and fresh — perfect for a hot and sweltering day!
